After lunch and a walk around the mill, we will explore the Swabia prehistoric town of Blaubeuren and the museum to boot! Almost immediately as we drive through the iceberg carved caverns and mountains to the valley of this town you’ll feel like it takes you back in time.

Bring a bit of Euro with you to enjoy some lunch ~ we will be stopping by one of my local favorites the Hotel Ochsen for some traditional German Swabian food ~

Today we will be traveling to the little German town of Gruibingen not too far from Stuttgart to shop at my friends Armin & Marion Textile shop! I load up on all my Christmas gifts and knick knacks, see what’s on sale (usually something from last season or Christmas season) and grab a few totes. They also have fluffy socks, purses and Reisenthel Totes and bags as well. After our shopping morning we head to one of my favorite Swabian restaurants ~ the Deutsches Haus. The panoramic views of the valley are breathtaking and the food is spectacular. This fun, easy going  DAY TRIP will get you back in time to make some dinner. But maybe you’ll just want to take a nap instead!
