This wonderful expedition begins with a stop in the gorgeous town of Gouda, Holland. If you like the cheese, you’ll love the city! This precious little Dutch town has a gorgeous market square, churches, 18th and early 19th Century architecture on canals that will thrill any budding photographer.

After checking into our accommodations (only a 15 minute walk) to the beach at the Hotel Astoria in Noordwijk aan Zee we will enjoy a stroll through our little town and delight with a dinner at Iets Anders a specialty grill restaurant serving international and Dutch cuisine. After a restful night, we will head over to Keukenhof gardens where we will enjoy the day exploring these wonderful botanicals, known around the world for their amazing tulip blooms.

On Saturday, we head up to Amsterdam where we will visit the Waterlooplein Market (this market has over 300 stalls) and is one of the oldest in all Holland. Next we’ll visit the Albert Cuyp market and the DapperMkt, both within walking distance. Once we are all walked out, if we have enough time, we’ll enjoy a boat cruise while sipping some beer or wine along Amsterdam’s ancient canals.

On Sunday, we embark for the great city of Delft, it just so happens to be the KING’s BIRTHDAY weekend, (wear orange and blue) here we will stroll through the majestic old town (Altstadt) and enjoy a tour through the Delft Blue museum. Of course, we will enjoy many places to stop and shop along the way as well as discover new sites and sounds of Europe!
