Terms of Use

This policy is valid from February 2, 2016.

The reading of all information on http://www.travelwithwendy.net is of your own free will. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you should stop reading this website immediately. If you do however, wish to read about some awesome travel related articles, please don’t leave just yet.

I reserve the right to change any of these terms and conditions at any given time on this website. As I am quite unpredictable and have ADD, so please check back here often.

Even though I work very hard to provide you with up-to-date information (through extensive research while re-writing already published articles) I make no representations or warranties of any kind (expressed or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of any information, products, services or related graphics contained on Travel with Wendy for any purpose.

Especially when it comes to current prices, addresses, opening hours, phone numbers, travel information and website addresses. I advise you to double check. You don’t want to drive for over 2 hours with screaming kids in the back of the car to an amusement park that has turned into a scrap yard only three days ago, do you?

I aim to provide you with accurate information at the time of publishing, but some information will understandably be less accurate as times passes. Should you find any inaccurate information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will drop everything, get behind my laptop and correct this world shocking mistake right away…or as soon as I finish my cup or tea or corpse pose. I do have my priorities you see.

These trips book up quickly, a deposit of half of the trip is due at the time of reservation to secure your slot. Trips include accommodations and breakfast, transportation, and site tickets.  All accommodations include Wi-fi. Usually lunch and dinner meals are on-your-own. For transportation, we take either a 9-passenger van (8 travelers) or a 21-passenger bus with (bus driver), w/c, a/c and lots of space.

Reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. No partial payments are accepted.

In the event you must cancel your slot 3 weeks or less before our departure day, I ask you to find a replacement for a full refund. Refunds are not possible. I apologize for any inconvenience however, this close to departure, most deposits, fees and tours are paid in full. Thank you for your understanding.

To make a reservation or have questions, please go to the Travel with Wendy FB page or the comments section here and send me a note. Reservations are on a first come-first serve basis.

FAQs of policies and procedures

  • Here you will find some frequently asked questions about my policies and procedures for organizing a trip ~
    1) Trips ARE FULL?? What?? You just posted it ~ yup, sometimes that happens. Once you’ve traveled with me, you get on this list too. Call it a preferred list or inside scoop, but these faithful companions, explorers get first dibs. They are called “FIRST TRAVELERS.” However, there are typically several slots available after release.
    2) First come, FIRST SERVE. A reservation is not complete until I receive full payment for the reservation. No partial payments accepted. If you “just tell me” you would like to go on a trip ~ this does not confirm your reservation.
    3) Sign up on a waiting list ~ cause you NEVER know, ~ please send me a message and ask to be added to the list. If a space becomes available then we work out the financial deposit. Our lives are precarious and can change at anytime, we actually had last minute add-ons (see my official ©Travel with Wendy policy on finding a replacement.)

Service Dogs

If the other passengers agree, you may travel with a service dog if:

  • your service dog is a small dog (1) weighing no more than 9 lbs and carried in a closed bag, basket or carrier
  • or if other passengers are frightened or allergic to dogs, it would not be possible to bring them along on our adventure
  • notification of bringing a service dog on a ©Travel with Wendy adventure is required at the time of reservation for other passenger approval/allergy and to make appropriate accommodations. These adjustments need to be made prior to the trip, failure to do so, could result in cancellation of the reservation
  • In some cases, a single room supplement or fee for a separate room might be required as ©Travel with Wendy prices are based on double-occupancy
  • You must stay with your pet for the entire journey, and he is your responsibility at all times.

If your dog will travel in a pet carrier, mark the inside of the carrier with his/her name, his license number, your name, your telephone number and your home address

Special requirements for European travel in the European Union:

Whenever you travel with your service dog in the European Union, you must ensure that your pet meets these requirements:

  • he must be identified by a microchip
  • he must be vaccinated for rabies
  • he must have a passport, provided and completed by a veterinarian or a license issued by a veterinarian
  • you must bring an up-to-date record of vaccinations and other health data
  • you must bring and have with you, the service dog certification paperwork
